Shark Cage Diving, Cape Town
African Shark Eco-Charters is one of the best shark-cage diving companies. Based in Simon’s Town, an hour away from Cape Town, the company has specialised in shark cage diving, shark breaching, shark viewing, and filming trips since 1996.
They are passionate about all sharks that call False Bay home, including Great White sharks, and consider it a privilege to share their passion and knowledge with their customers.
African Shark Eco-Charters is a top shark-cage diving company and runs the safest operation in False Bay.
Holding to the motto “first do no harm”, the company aims to let their customers experience shark viewing, shark cage diving and the Great White shark breaching trip (in season) in the shark’s natural environment, in an environmentally sensitive manner.
Seal Snorkelling, Simonstown
Partridge Point is an exposed haul-out spot for seals. The seals at Partridge Point are used to divers and are not shy, often jumping in the water to investigate and play with divers.
When the water is rough at the site, due to waves or currents, our staff make a careful assessment before entering the water and reserve the right to divert divers to a more protected area.
A shallow section of the reef, known as the amphitheatre, is the best spot to interact with the seals, while the deeper sections offer beautiful marine life, swim-throughs and large sea fans.
Scenic Helicopter Trips
There’s nothing quite like a scenic helicopter trip to give you a breathtaking sense of the city of Cape Town, complete with unique views of Table Mountain and Robben Island.
From a 12-minute flip to a 56-minute exploration, choose from among the largest helicopter fleet in Cape Town, including an authentic Huey UH-1 army helicopter! You can choose to keep the doors closed – or have them open for better photographic opportunities.
The “Huey” – the only one in the world licensed to commercially fly civilian passengers – does daily “combat” flights from the V&A Waterfront at 3pm. Note that ALL helicopters depart from the V&A Waterfront helipad.
Want to visit a wine farm? No problem! You can fly to a wine farm of your choice, stay for lunch and a wine tasting, and be returned safely to the V&A Waterfront once you’re ready to depart.
